Barr-ee Station is a men’s and women’s retailer established in 1988. Barree Station has a wonderful collection of mens and womens clothing, swimsuits, shoes, accessories, and beautiful jewelry. Barree Station also has an outlet section with name brands at great prices. Owner Maggie Cox, opened her first store in Charlottesville, VA, in early 1988. The Duck Waterfront Shops store was opened that summer and is still the best place to shop and watch the sunset overlooking the Currituck Sound. One of the most popular events is the tent sale which happens four times a year at Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. This 2 day event occurs on Friday and Saturday and features items that are drasticly reduced. People carry off sacks of clothing for a very small price.. these events also act as adoption sites for the Dare County SPCA where we have been very sucessful in finding homes for needy amamals. A percentage of the sales goes to the SPCA. There are currently 3 locations on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina; Barr-ee Station in the Duck Waterfront Shops, Barr-ee Station 2 in Southern Shores Crossing, and Barr-ee Station 3 in Downtown Duck, NC.
